"Crossbows are not medieval guns"
Locked & Loaded adds a variety of fun crossbow enchantments inspired by guns in games, especially ULTRAKILL.
Enchantments
Multichambered
Max Level: 3 (III)
Obtained from: enchanting table, librarian villagers, random loot
Incompatible with: quick charge, multishot, pump charge
You can load multiple shots by holding crouch, then fire them in sequence when not crouching.
| Level | Capacity |
|---|---|
| 1 (I) | 2 |
| 2 (II) | 4 |
| 3 (III) | 6 |

Pump Charge
Max Level: 1
Obtained From: enchanting table, librarian villagers, random loot, pillager outposts, trial chambers
Incompatible with: multishot, piercing, sharpshooting, rocketry, multichambered
You can load two projectiles at a time by holding crouch, up to 8, then fire them all at once like a shotgun. The more projectiles you load, the more spread out the projectiles will be.

Sharpshooting
Max Level: 3 (III)
Obtained from: enchanting table, librarian villagers, random loot, pillager outposts, trial chambers
Incompatible with: multishot, piercing, pump charge, rocketry
Arrows will ricochet off of blocks and arrow-deflecting entities. Arrows will also pierce mobs and reset their pierce count when bouncing, although they cannot pierce shields or other projectile-deflecting mobs the way Piercing can.
| Level | Bounces | Pierce |
|---|---|---|
| 1 (I) | 1 | 1 |
| 2 (II) | 2 | 2 |
| 3 (III) | 3 | 3 |

Rocketry
Max Level: 1
Obtained from: enchanting table, librarian villagers, random loot, pillager outposts, trial chambers
Incompatible: multishot, piercing, pump charge, sharpshooting
- The crossbow will only load fireworks by default, other projectiles must be in the offhand to be loaded.
- Loading an empty firework will give it a random explosion (with 1 firework star per flight duration).
- You can rocket jump by detonating a firework near yourself in midair. Fireworks with more explosions will launch you further.
- You can ride rockets by shooting a firework downward while falling. The firework can be steered using movement keys (WASD). The firework will fly at half speed and last 4x as long, but it will still explode upon impact or when its timer runs out.

Recovery
Max Level: 1
Obtained from: enchanting table, librarian villagers, random loot
After hitting an entity, the arrow will not be destroyed and can only be picked up by its owner until the owner dies, despawns, or disconnects. This will ensure you can pick up your arrows later to continue fighting.
Curse of Twirling
Max Level: 1
Obtained from: librarian villagers, random loot
Instead of shooting a loaded crossbow as normal, you will start spinning the crossbow. Spinning the crossbow for more than a second will cause it to fire normally when released. You can spin two crossbows at once.

Magazine (Unobtainable)
Max Level: 4 (IV)
Incompatible with: most other crossbow enchantments
Loading the crossbow will load 4 * level projectiles and take a proportionally long time to finish. The projectiles will be fired in sequence with a short firing cooldown. The enchantment is experimental and therefore unobtainable.
| Level | Capacity |
|---|---|
| 1 (I) | 4 |
| 2 (II) | 8 |
| 3 (III) | 12 |
| 4 (IV) | 16 |
Other Changes
- Vanilla Piercing has been buffed so that in addition to piercing shields, arrows can pierce closed shulkers, breezes, wither armor, and the Ender Dragon when perched.
- Pillagers are capable of using the new crossbow enchantments
- Pillagers will load their crossbow before running towards their target
- Projectiles ignore invulnerability frames if the last damage was from the same attacker
- Offhand crossbow has a unique pose
Migrating
Multichambered and Rocketry were originally from OmniCrossbow and Rocket Redux, respectively. The enchantments should migrate seamlessly. Nevertheless, maintain good practice and keep backups of your worlds.
Compat
Enchiridion compat is planned when Enchiridion updates.
Penchant (Loot Rework)
- Common: Multichambered
- Uncommon: Recovery
- Rare: Pump Charge, Sharpshooting, Rocketry

Many of the enchantments were inspired by ULTRAKILL. Rocket jumping was inspired by TF2 and Firework Frenzy.
