TL;DR:
- Crops have a chance to replace nearby water with a block when growing
- Crops no longer grow without water
- Entirely configurable
- Only effects crops that grow on farmland or from a stem
- Biome Temp effects evaporation chance (configurable & disable-able)
Description
The idea behind this mod was to make farming and water more engaging mechanics. Having to tend to your fields can feel rewarding, as well as finding ways to automate it!
The mod is also configurable! The blocks that crops replace are a weighted table that you can modify. You can also enable and disable replacing of non-source blocks as well as completely turn off the requirement for water to grow!

What's with the FF prefix?
It stands for Fyxe's Features! Its a clean way to easily find all of my mods when changing configs or creating packs. Mods that are a part of the "FF" system are usually smaller and unintrusive. In the future, if I develop larger mods, it will be under another prefix.
