If it's not OptiFineHD but the CIT mod, then the check:

• Recommended version: 1.17.1
• On version 1.20.1, Strange Journal breaks and the book doesn't change.
• On version 1.18.2, it gives an error when loading resource packs (I'm surprised myself).
