Overview

The CP Class 2240 is an electric multiple unit (EMU) operated by Comboios de Portugal (CP) for regional and suburban services. Each unit consists of three cars: two driving trailers at the ends and one power car in the middle that houses the traction motors.

These trains were assembled between 2003 and 2005 by Alstom, using refurbished body shells from older Sorefame-built units (Classes 2100, 2150, and 2200), helping reduce costs and preserve classic rolling stock. The bogies were newly built with Alstom traction motors, and the units run on the Iberian gauge (1668 mm).

They can operate in multiple unit configurations of up to three sets, allowing for a total of nine passenger cars in service. Their modernized interiors, updated fronts, and improved systems make them a common sight on Portuguese regional routes.

This resource pack adds the CP Class 2240 into Minecraft using the Minecraft Transit Railway mod. The model was created by me (vitor2005) using the StaticWind Kit, and the train’s front was generated using Meshy.ai.
