AdventureZ - Fresh Animations
Fresh Animations-style custom mob animations for the AdventureZ mod. Every walk cycle, every attack swing, every idle pose rebuilt from scratch with CEM (Custom Entity Models) to match the smoothness and personality of Fresh Animations. No more robotic stock poses - AdventureZ mobs finally move like they mean it.
What it does
Out of the box, AdventureZ mobs use the default minecraft model with minimal procedural animation. This pack replaces 20 of them with hand-crafted CEM animations:
- Smooth walk/run cycles - arms swing, legs stride, bodies sway, with per-mob tempo based on real movement speed
- Weapon-aware attacks - skeletons draw bows like vanilla skeletons; soul reapers switch between bow and sword; necromancers cast without a melee swing
- Personality poses - shamans hold their staff, orcs hunch forward, fungi bob, rhinos snort, mammoths wave their trunks
- Hurt reactions - a quick recoil on damage so hits feel impactful

Humanoids: orc, shaman, skeleton_vanguard, soul_reaper, necromancer, summoner, wither_puppet
Fungi & organics: brown_fungus, red_fungus, the_eye
Golems: blackstone_golem, mini_blackstone_golem, amethyst_golem, blaze_guardian
Beasts: desert_rhino, piglin_beast, deer, iguana, enderwarthog, mammoth
Compatibility
- Minecraft 1.20.1 (pack_format 15, supported_formats 9-46 so it loads on older/newer versions too)
- AdventureZ 1.4.x (tested) - should work on any version that keeps the same render layer names
- Safe to stack with Fresh Animations itself (they cover different entity sets)
- Texture packs for AdventureZ mobs remain compatible - this pack only changes models/animations, not textures

Built on top of the Fresh Animations style by FreshLX (not a direct fork - independent CEM implementation referencing the FA vanilla templates).
