Vmse 1.2.0 — control panel, environment layer, and four jars

Spatial stereo music for Minecraft, built on Simple Voice Chat.

Choose the jar for your server. All four builds were started on a real server with Simple Voice Chat 2.6.27 before release.

1.13–1.15 are not supported: Simple Voice Chat has no build for them.

New

Control panel. /vmse menu opens an inventory panel that only shows what you are allowed to use — players never see the admin buttons, and the layout centres itself and shrinks to fit. Each entry can be hidden or re-assigned to another permission node in gui.items.*, and clicking checks the permission again. /vmse region menu [name] opens the panel for the region you are standing in: geometry, track, playlist, volume, stage, and the reflection pass.

Environment layer. /vmse env toggles a per-player room effect. Walls between the source and your ears, and how enclosed the space is, colour the mix. Turn it off and the plain stereo mix comes straight back. Your choice is remembered in players.yml.

Reflection passes. /vmse region reflect <name> samples the region offline and stores how much the room colours each channel, so playback reads two numbers instead of raycasting every tick.

More lyric sources. QQ Music and Kugou join LRCLIB and NetEase, with the same title/artist/length scoring and a per-source time budget so a slow site never holds up playback.

Cleaner downloads. Streamed tracks now live in cache/stream with their lyric beside them under the same name, and are trimmed on age and size — a track and its lyric are dropped together.

Fixed

• Lyric colours render again: bare #RRGGBB was shown literally on screen.
• Closed a redirect SSRF bypass and stopped configured folders escaping the plugin directory.
• Added the missing break in nineteen switch branches that fell through to the next case.

Compatibility

• The whole code base now compiles with --release 8, which is what makes the 1.12 jar possible. APIs missing on older servers are reached through guarded reflection: hex colours degrade to the closest vanilla colour, sendActionBar falls back to chat, and the wand marker uses lore instead of a persistent data container. Eight jars were merged into four after cross-version load testing.
