Free-for-all arena PvP for Paper, Spigot, and Purpur. Players pick an arena from a live browser, grab a kit, and fight. Kits are built and edited fully in game through GUIs, no config editing needed.

How it plays

Join an arena from the /ffa browser. It shows every arena with live player counts and fills busiest first. Click one and you spawn in. Die and you respawn at the lobby. Kills and deaths feed /vanta stats. !Arena selection

Kit editor

/kit create <name> opens the editor. The top row holds armor and offhand in labeled slots, the rest is kit storage. An item menu (melee, armor, ranged, blocks, food, potions, utility) adds pieces straight into the kit, nothing touches your real inventory. Left-click removes a piece, right-click enchants it from a list of only the enchantments that fit that item, with conflicting combos hidden and levels capped at vanilla and server limits. Closing or pressing save writes the kit. Everything validates on save, so blocked items and overstacked gear get rejected with a reason.

Seven premade kits ship with the plugin: Sword, Axe, Mace, Netherite OP, Pot, SMP, and Vanilla/CPvP. Server kits refresh from the built-in layouts, player-made kits are never touched. !Kit selection

Arenas

Admins select regions with a wand (/ffa arena, left-click corner one, right-click corner two), save them with /ffa arena create <name>, and add as many spawns as they want with /ffa arena setspawn <name>. /ffa arena <name> edit opens a five-section panel: rules (player cap typed in chat or unlimited, mob spawning, PvP protection timer, combat-logger handling, keep inventory), appearance (browser icon, listed or hidden, glow), spawns, a live player list with kick buttons, and delete with confirm. Lockdown (/ffa arena lockdown <name>) moves everyone to the lobby safely and blocks new joins until reopened. !Arena editor

Lobbies, stats, upkeep

/vanta setlobby [name] saves lobbies, /lobby goes to the main one and falls back to the next open lobby if main is locked down (/vanta lockdown [name]). /ffa kick sends players to the lobby. /vanta stats [player] shows wins, losses, and favorite kit. /vanta maintenance on/off locks joins during updates. /pvptimer shows your remaining spawn protection, admins can set the default. /ffa forcejoin and /ffa reload need no restart.

Player: /ffa, /ffa <arena>, /kits, /kit, /kit <name>, /kit list, /lobby, /pvptimer, /vanta stats. Kit builders: /kit create <name>, /kit edit <name>, /kit delete <name>, /kit rename <old> <new>. Admin: /ffa arena, /ffa arena create|delete|list|setspawn|tp|edit|lockdown <name>, /ffa forcejoin <player> <arena>, /ffa kick <player>, /ffa reload, /vanta setlobby [name], /vanta lockdown [name], /vanta maintenance [on|off], /vanta reload, /pvptimer <seconds>.

Ops pick kit browser icons from the kit editor. Regular players only see the commands they can use.

Admin nodes default to op.

Setup

Requires Java 21 and a 1.21+ Paper, Spigot, or Purpur server. Drop the jar in plugins and restart. Kits and arenas store in a single SQLite file, no database setup. Config lives in plugins/VantaFFA/config.yml with item restrictions, enchant caps, PvP timer, lobby, and every player-facing message editable.

This is an early dev build. Kits, arenas, lobbies, and stats are all working and tested on Paper 1.21.11. VantaDuels (1v1/2v2 queues and challenges) is a separate plugin that shares kits, arenas, and stats when both are installed.
