🔄 Role Sync (LuckPerms)

Every group in role-sync.groups has a direction:

Direction	What happens
minecraft-to-discord	The LuckPerms group gives the Discord role
discord-to-minecraft	The Discord role gives the LuckPerms group
both	A change on either side is copied to the other side

discord-to-minecraft and both need LuckPerms.

⚠️ SECURITY: ROLE SYNC FROM DISCORD

With both or discord-to-minecraft, everyone who can assign that role on Discord can also give the group in Minecraft. If you map an admin role this way, a Discord moderator who can assign roles can make anyone a Minecraft admin. Use minecraft-to-discord for staff ranks, and use the other directions only for roles that only trusted people (or Discord itself, like Server Booster) can assign.

⚠️ VELOCITY: CHAT LOCK & COMMAND LOCK NEED SIGNEDVELOCITY

To block chat and commands of unverified players on Velocity, you need SignedVelocity on your Velocity proxy AND on EVERY backend server.

Without SignedVelocity, the chat lock only works for players on versions older than 1.19.1, and commands with signed text (like /msg) can't be blocked. Nobody gets kicked either way, and everything else works without SignedVelocity. You can turn the SignedVelocity support on or off in the config (require-verification.signed-velocity).
