NM Auto Torch
Automatically places torches for you as you explore caves and tunnels, with smart wall or floor placement, real forward range control, and a simple in-game GUI. Designed to reduce manual torch spam while keeping lighting natural and unobtrusive.
NMAutoTorch automatically places torches as you move through dark areas, helping light caves, tunnels, and underground spaces without constant manual placement.
The plugin scans forward in the direction you are moving and places torches at a sensible distance instead of at your feet. Placement can be set to wall-only or floor-only, with wall torches placed higher on surfaces for natural-looking lighting. If no valid placement is found (for example, no reachable wall in wall-only mode), nothing is placed.
A simple in-game GUI allows you to:
Enable or disable AutoTorch per player
Switch between wall-only and floor-only placement
Change range presets (Close, Medium, Far), which control how far ahead torches can be placed
AutoTorch respects light levels, spacing, and cooldowns to avoid torch spam. It works in both Survival and Creative modes and does not interfere with normal gameplay when disabled.
This plugin is intended to reduce repetitive actions while exploring, keeping lighting consistent and unobtrusive rather than fully automated or intrusive.
