The spear is one of the most interesting additions to minecraft in recent history, but if you're like me, you found it underwhelming. Not only does Lunge III not take you very far, but it consumes a ridiculous amount of hunger, making it impractical for a part of your movement kit.

I made this plugin to hopefully bridge the gap and make spears useful enough to actually use on a regular basis.

The three features

Force multiplier (force.multiplier) — 1.0 is vanilla, 2.0 is twice as far, 0 disables lunging.

Hunger cost (hunger.mode) — configurable two ways:

• multiplier — scale whatever vanilla would have charged. 1.0 is vanilla, 0.5 is half, 0 is free.
• food-points — charge a fixed amount in food points (drumsticks), ignoring vanilla's number entirely. hunger.scale-with-level optionally multiplies it by the spear's Lunge level.

Crouch cancels (crouch.cancel-lunge) — while crouching, the spear doesn't lunge and doesn't consume hunger. Both halves are handled: the lunge event is cancelled, and the matching exhaustion is cancelled too.

Commands

Every setting can be changed in-game; no file editing or restart required.
