LandBuy

Description

LandBuy is a robust Minecraft plugin for Paper that allows players to purchase plots of land from the server. This plugin offers a seamless way for ordinary players to purchase land from the server in a way that prevents others from messing with their property.

Technical

LandBuy stores display names, owners, and prices in its own configuration file, but uses WorldGuard for the backend to actually protect and store regions. Worldguard region names are generated as part of an internal ID system, so they won't clash with existing regions. For monetary transactions, LandBuy simply withdraws from a player's Vault balance.

Permissions

LandBuy comes with two permissions. landbuy.land.own gives access to buying and selling land, while landbuy.land.admin gives permission to view and modify other people's land.

Commands

1. Normal user commands (landbuy.land.own):
   • /land select: Start off by selecting a region
   • /land cancel: Cancel region selection
   • /land buy: Buy the region currently selected
   • /land sell [name]: Sell a plot of land back to the server
   • /land details [name]: See the details about a plot of land
   • /land borders: Toggle border display and land info on or off
   • /land list: See a list of owned land
   • /land rename [old name] [new name]: Rename a plot of land
   • /land transfer [name] [player]: Transfer ownership of land
   • /land trust [player] [name]: Add a trusted member
   • /land untrust [player] [name]: Remove a trusted member
2. Admin commands (landbuy.land.admin):
   • /lbadmin list [player]: List all plots of land owned by a specified player
   • /lbadmin listall: List all registered plots of land, along with owners
   • /lbadmin del [player] [land name]: Delete a plot of land with a specified name belonging to a specified player
   • /lbadmin del [region ID]: Delete a plot of land based on the specified region ID
   • /lbadmin details [player] [land name]: See details of land with a specified name belonging to a specified player
   • /lbadmin details [region ID]: See details of land based on the specified region ID
   • /lbadmin reload: Reload land data and config

Configuration

Global plugin settings can be changed by editing config.yml.

• pricing:
  • base-price: The base price required to register land, default $100
  • price-per-block: Additional price charged for each block, default $1.25
  • sell-percentage: Percentage of buy price that will be refunded on sell, default 60% (0.6)
• region:
  • expand-down: The number of blocks below the lowest selected block to include in the land purchase, default 15
• selection:
  • timeout-minutes: The time in minutes before land selection will automatically be canceled, default 10 min
• plugin:
  • update-check: Whether or not to automatically check for updates, default true

LandBuy depends on the following plugins:

• Vault

Additionally, LandBuy requires an economy plugin such as EssentialsX.

Compatibility

LandBuy is built for PaperMC servers. It will likely also work with forks of PaperMC such as Folia or Purpur, however, compatibility is not guarunteed.
