FreshFishing
Custom fish sizes, rarities, hunger cost, biome restrictions, and random entity catches
FreshFishing – Modrinth Description
Complete fishing overhaul with dynamic sizes, rarities, economy integration, grappling hooks, and more. Perfect for survival and RPG servers.
Long Description
Catch bigger, rarer, and more valuable fish
FreshFishing transforms vanilla fishing into a rewarding progression system. Every fish you catch has a unique size and rarity — from tiny 6cm catches to massive 600cm beasts. Rarities range from Common to Mystic, each with custom colors and price multipliers.
Features at a Glance
🐟 Sizes & Rarities – Configurable tiers with exponential distribution. Fish scale visually based on tier and rarity.
💰 Economy Integration – Open a Fish Market GUI to sell your catches for money. Prices scale with size and include enchantment bonuses. Requires Vault or VaultUnlocked.
🪝 Grappling Hooks – Use your fishing rod to swing off walls, grapple entities, or pull yourself toward high ground. Perfect for parkour and exploration.
🦠 Bait System – Require specific items (spider eyes, bread, etc.) to fish. Optional consumption. Great for gating fishing early-game.
🏜️ Sand Loot – Place markers to auto-populate suspicious sand/gravel blocks with custom loot tables.
🎯 Random Mobs – Catch creatures instead of fish (squid, drowned, guardians, creepers). They launch toward you with physics.
💾 Persistent Data – Fish size and rarity survive death, buckets, and server restarts via PDC.
🎨 Full Customization – Every aspect is configurable via config.yml: sizes, rarities, prices, cooldowns, permissions, and more. Full MiniMessage support for colors and gradients.
