Custom Death Messages Plugin

Overview

The Custom Death Messages Plugin allows players on your Paper server to configure and personalize their own custom death messages. Built using modern Paper API and MiniMessage, it supports flexible placeholders and formatting tags.

Commands

Command	Description	Permission
/customdeath set <message>	Sets your custom death message	customdeath.set
/customdeath reset	Resets your death message to default	customdeath.set
/customdeath reload	Reloads the plugin configuration	customdeath.admin

Placeholders

• {player} or %player%: Name of the deceased player
• {killer} or %killer%: Name of the attacker (left blank if caused by environment/non-player)

Permissions

• customdeath.set: Allows players to set and reset their own custom death message (default: true).
• customdeath.admin: Allows reloading the plugin configuration (default: op).

Installation

1. Build the plugin jar file using Gradle (./gradlew build).
2. Place the .jar file into your server's plugins folder.
3. Start or restart the server to generate the default configuration files.
4. Use /customdeath set in-game to configure your personal death message.
