After instalation and start, every Player joining gets teleported to the spawn island.
There you can change the build time and start the game.
There are buttons to start the race directly (if you left off after building) or reset the Game (and delete the worlds/castles) too.
After starting the game, every Player gets teleported to his own World where he build his castle in creative mode.
Additionally every Player gets Tools that help them building the Castle.
I call it Castle because that was orginally the idea of the format but obviously you can build the parkour however you want.
While building you can see the remaining time in the scoreboard on the right.
Time can be extended with commands (Planing on maybe making a vote system for that in the future if requested)
After the set time is over, all the castles/worlds get randomly arranged and everyone gets teleported to the first one.
Finishing one castle leads you to the start of the next one.
The scoreboard shows the time since race start and at which castle you are out of the total count.
Finished players can spectate others or funnily fly around with their head following them.
Tools
(currently available ones in V2.2.0, more could be added if requested)
In the building phase, players get specific Tools that can help them building the Castle.
- Start Tool (Golden Pickaxe) - Lets you pick a block as the castle start
- End Tool (Golden Axe) - Lets you pick a block as the castle end
- Checkpoint Tool (Golden Shovel) - Lets you pick blocks as checkpoints/respawn points
- Deathzone Tool (Golden Hoe) - Lets you pick blocks/areas which instantly kill the player
- Effect Tool (Golden Sword) - Lets you pick blocks/areas which give the player the choosen effect. Current effects: Speed, Jump boost, Water breathing, Slowness, Blindess, Nausea, Slow falling
- Teleporter Tool (Golden Horse Armor) - Lets you pick blocks as teleporters which lead to choosen destination targets
Other features
- PVP - You can enable or disable pvp for the racing phase (Currently applying to all castles, changes can be made if requested)
- Nether - Every player has his own nether. Custom portal functionality allows you to easily travel through the nether without multiple portals in nether linking to the same one in the overworld. (They still need to be at least 8 blocks apart in the overworld)
- Spectators - Spectating players have an armorstand with their head following them so they can be seen by, and annoy, the other players. Going through starts/ends to get teleported to the last/next castle is possible as spectator too.
Installation
Just put the Jar file in the Plugin Folder of your Paper server.
Teleportation and all the other things will happen automatically.
You dont need any other plugin or anything else for this plugin to work.
I am not sure about compatibility with other Plugins.
Personally I think using other plugins or mods may defeat the purpose of this Plugin since its supposed to be a fun little gamemode for you and your friends therefore I havent tested it but you can try it of course.
