BETTERSPECTATE

BETTERSPECTATE is a Minecraft plugin designed to enhance the spectator experience by allowing players to cycle through all online players in spectator mode with customizable timers. Perfect for server administrators, streamers, or anyone who wants to easily spectate multiple players without manual switching.

FEATURES

COMMANDS

/speccycle start [time] Starts a one-time cycle through all online players.

• [time]: Optional. Interval in seconds (minimum 1). Default is 15 seconds.
• Example: /speccycle start 10 (cycles every 10 seconds)

/speccycle start infinite [time] Starts an infinite cycle that loops continuously.

• [time]: Optional. Interval in seconds (minimum 1). Default is 15 seconds.
• Example: /speccycle start infinite 20 (infinite cycle every 20 seconds)

/speccycle stop Stops the current spectate cycle and restores the player's original game mode and location.

/speccycle help Displays the help message with command usage.

PERMISSIONS

• betterspectate.cycle: Allows players to use the /speccycle command. Default: OP only.

REQUIREMENTS

• Minecraft 1.21+
• Spigot/Paper server software
• Java 17+

USAGE

1. Ensure you have the betterspectate.cycle permission (or OP status).
2. Enter spectator mode by running /speccycle start (or with custom time).
3. The plugin will automatically switch your spectator target every interval.
4. Use the action bar to see the current player and remaining time.
5. Stop at any time with /speccycle stop.

EXAMPLE SCENARIOS

• STREAMERS: Cycle through players during a live stream to showcase different perspectives.
• ADMINS: Quickly check on all players without manual teleportation.
• EVENTS: Use infinite mode for continuous monitoring during server events.
