Changelog 2.0.0-a.12

This update will require a new world as a lot of mods have been changed up. This will be the start of the second play test on our server. Also all your configurations will be overwritten with this update!

  • Updated to NeoForge 21.1.193

Notable changes

  • There are new skill trees: Combat and Mining, with more to come in the future.
  • Adjusted the health multiplier for all Cataclysm bosses to 1.25 across the board as a first phase of balancing the bosses and introducing a bit of a line of progression through the boss mods. This will get adjusted during the test phase as needed.
  • Replaced map mod with Journeymap, minimap is disabled by default but can be enabled as needed and bound to a keybind. For a slightly more immersive overlay keep a Compass and Clock in your inventory.
  • Most structures should be a bit rarer now, about twice as much. Exceptions include Cataclysm, Iron's Spellbooks, Bosses of Mass Destruction and Mowzie's Mobs structures.
  • The number of enchantments on any item are limited to 5 for now, this might get adjusted in the future.
  • The Aether has been removed for now since it ships with a built-in version of Accessories, while a lot of other mods depend on Curios. The Curios Accessories compat mod has not been updated in months so Aether will be removed for now but it will get added again in the future once they remove the hard dependency on Accessories.
  • Explore a new dimension, The Bumblezone, accessed by throwing an Ender Pearl at a Bee Hive or Beenest or pushing yourself into one using a piston. Follow the Advancements to learn more or check out the mods wiki.
  • Cognition allows you to store and manage your experience.
  • Explore many new dungeons in the Overworld, most of which making use of Trial Spawners and Vaults which allows for clearing them several times.
  • Follow the story line of Yggdrasil, exploring crazy structures including the World Tree itself.
  • Experience a more immersive version of backpacks.
  • We removed Refined Storage in favor of Tom's Simple Storage Mod which will provide an alternative more fitting for the theme of the pack.
  • While we have Create Numismatics now there are currently no built-in ways to gain the mods' currency. On our server we might set up some creative trading posts that allow players to turn in different boss drops for currency, at least until we can find a way to implement quests or similar.
  • You can now get thirsty (thanks to Thirst Was Taken). Gather water and purify it by cooking it or running water through a Sand Filter with Create.
  • Never get lost again exploring dungeons or caves using the Chalks mod, providing chalk which you can use to draw symbols on walls or the floor as you explore.
