Sea of Pillagers
An adventure across an ocean teaming with life, monsters and pirates.
You arrive in this land with nothing but a map, some notes and a hunger for adventure. Traverse the deep seas and reach distant biomes to uncover civilisations and their remains.
- Many structure mods such as Dungeons and Taverns, the Integrated series and Yung's along with more specific ones such as warships are used to add to the world.
- Tectonic is used to make the oceans deeper as of right now.
- A few mods that add alternate factions are included as well to add some variation to your adventure.
- Also you have the origins mod.
There are many tools you'll find and make to aid you on this journey such as compasses and an atlas to guide you, along with a trusty spyglass to help you better understand what creatures you see before you beneath the waves and walking the lands.
- Explorer's compass along with Nature's compass are always there if you need to figure out where to go along with antique atlas.
- Jade is not currently installed because instead a spyglass enhancement mod is installed which allows you to see the name and stats of mobs when observing them.
You'll need good transportation to get anywhere but luckily you'll have many options at your disposal, from creatures you can tame to multiblock ships and tiny boats and even flying machines for those able to build them.
- Valkyrean ships is installed along with Scallywag boat mod to add some simpler pirate themed boats for those who don't wish to build large block boats.
- There's also Alex's mobs and a few other mods which add tameable and rideable creatures.
- Immersive aircraft is installed for those who wish to be sky pirates.
However never feel safe on the waters. The creatures you can see are only the start of the dangers that lurk out there, and you don't wish to be caught alone on the waters as the storm comes in.
- For the base roster we have a large variety of mostly peaceful/neutral aquatic mobs added by several mods such as Unusual Fish, Fish of Thieves and Upgrade Aquatic, along with the Ben's Sharks mod for larger creatures. You'll probably stumble on a few humanoid hostile mobs courtsey of Variants and Ventures and L_Ender's Cataclysm. Typically the most dangerous creatures beyond this will be guardians near structures and Ice and Fire monsters that spawn in the sea.
- However there are most certainly far more dangerous creatures that can be encountered in colder oceans or other that arrive in stormy weather.
If you wish to see the End of what this land has to offer you'll have to travel far as each ender eye requires trinkets from every corner of the seven seas, so plunder as best you can.
- End remastered is installed so you'll need those special ender pearls in order to go to the End Dimension.
You aren't the only one who sails the seas however, as the Illagers too have goals that take them beyond the confines of land. Perhaps you may align yourself with some of their ranks as a fellow scoundrel of the seas or you might heroically fight back against their dominion at every turn. Whichever path you take across these seas is yours alone.
- Outside of aforementioned dungeons and taverns, we also have a few other illager structure and addition mods installed such as Illager Invasion and Warships.
- There is also Valkyrean pirates which allows for both Illager and undead pirate ships which actually move across the waters, so be careful.
- You Bandit! is installed so you can side with Illagers if you wish though there may be some modded illagers which don't take a liking to you regardless.
So yeah this is my first ever modpack, its very rough around the edges and probably quite laggy at some points so if you know any better optimisation mod/combinations feel free to add them or tell me about them. The main thing you'll probably get out of this is an appreciation for some mods you might not know or just get to enjoy some mods you do know I suppose. I think there's a few glitched textures here and there with Ice and Fire sirens, might be due to a particle mod? I'll be getting it sorted out as soon as I figure out why it happens. Feel free to disable any of the mods as there are quite a few that add sea creatures so you might want to pick and choose.
I use In Control to influence mob spawns so you'll want to go there if you feel like anything needs changing.
This modpack was really just made so that I could have this saved somewhere, but if you find any enjoyment from it, I thank you kindly, fellow pirate.
