SBMC I
Slightly Better Minecraft I is A Vanilla-based mod pack made as a passion project for me and my friends.
- Slightly Better Minecraft -
Overview:
SBMC One is the first installment of a modpack created for me and my friend group for our occasional multi-week Minecraft sprees! This first iteration is vanilla-plus-based in 1.19.2 with a vast amount of different mods, texture packs, and even a few data packs!
Features:
- Weapon overhauls
- Complete enchantment system overhauls
- World generation improvements
- Custom structures
- Optimization improvements
- Render distance improvements
- Higher build limit
- A vast quantity of QOL improvers
- Animation overhauls
- Integrated custom capes
- A World map and minimap
- And so much more!
History:
Originally, this was meant to be an edition of the many different modpacks used in a set of worlds my friends dubbed Nations, which we have been continuously coming back to play on for years now. But the scope of the project grew wildly out of our original proportions when we finally obtained some functional dedicated server hardware. This pushed me to make a published modpack, so updates are easier to push out instead of relying on sharing mod folders and allowing others to try the pack!
FAQ:
Q: Is this mod multiplier compatible?
- A: Yes! You can join servers with compatible mods or use e4mc to host local worlds!
Q: Can I use this pack on a server?
- A: Yes and no. The unedited pack itself only works client-side. However, if you remove some of the client-side mods from the mods folder, it works perfectly fine on a server!
Q: How do I use the extended render distance?
- A: Using Distant Horizons, you can push your render distance into the thousands! The menu is in the pause screen. For more info, go to the Distant Horizons Mod Page.
Q: How do I use the custom capes?
- A: Go to MinecraftCapes.net and upload a cape you want to use, then go into the game, and if custom capes are enabled in your settings, it should be shown to you and everyone else using the mod. (From my testing, you have to close and reopen the game for the cape to show after changing it.)
Closing Thoughts:
Even if you do not know me personally, please feel free to enjoy this modpack! I made it as a passion project to go alongside the homelab project I have been working on, and have put so much time and love into it, and it’s been such a fun time learning how to set this up! I hope you enjoy the pack!
