Ever wanted to fly with your Elytra? Now you can, with many customizable options, and you can do it in style.

Features

Creative Flight with Your Elytra

Wearing an Elytra gives you full creative-style flight. You can take off, hover, and fly in any direction without needing a rocket. You can still glide normally too.

Customisable Speed

Flight speed can be scaled up or down. The default matches vanilla creative flight, but you can crank it higher or dial it back.

Boost

Sprinting while flying activates a speed burst. How fast the boost is, and how much extra durability it costs, are both configurable. Off by default.

Durability Control

Choose how much durability the Elytra loses per second of mod-granted flight, and separately control what happens during a normal elytra glide (vanilla rate, your custom rate, or nothing at all).

Altitude Limit

Cap how high players can fly. There's a configurable slowdown zone below the ceiling so you don't slam into an invisible wall.

Stamina System

Optionally add a stamina bar that drains while flying and recharges on the ground. When it runs out, flight is disabled until the bar is full again. Off by default.

Fall Damage Protection

After stopping flight or a glide, the next fall can optionally deal no damage. Toggleable.

Equip Cooldown

A short lockout (default 3 seconds) after removing the Elytra before flight is re-granted, preventing rapid toggling.

Particle Trails

Each player can set up their own particle trail that appears while flying or gliding. Options include:

• Particle type — any Minecraft particle (cloud, flame, dust, etc.)
• Color and size — for dust-type particles
• Shape — Sphere, Spiral, Wake, or Comet
• Frequency, speed, and count per burst
• Spawn offset — shift where particles appear relative to your body (X/Y/Z)
• Active during — both flight and glide, flight only, or glide only
• Accent particle — a second particle type that fires on some bursts at a configurable ratio

Hide Wings

Toggle whether your Elytra wings are visible while using mod-granted creative flight.

Per-Dimension Disable

Operators can block mod flight in specific dimensions (e.g. the Nether).

Per-Player Opt-Out

Any player can toggle their own mod flight on or off without needing op permissions.

Mod Menu Support

If Mod Menu is installed, WingsThatFly gets a config button directly in the mods list.
