The Utopia

The Utopia (formally KodiakMC) is a Minecraft server founded by MrKodiak and officially released on March 15th, 2023. The server was passed down to BananaKingXO on August 28th, 2024 and officially renamed to "The Utopia" on August 31st, 2024.

The server is survival, with no mods, just plugins and datapacks to enhance the experience, giving the game new items, biomes, structures (like the Forbidden Castle), and mobs. A resource pack is required, however, but it does not require downloading from another site. It is simply a popup in game that is user friendly and will ask to download the resource pack. In short, there are changes to vanilla Minecraft, but it is nothing any player would have to download or install separately before opening the game.

The server resets every Season (about every 3-4 months), giving players the chance to start new bases and teams, and giving staff the chance to add new features to keep the game exciting and fresh. There were six seasons of KodiakMC, lasting from March 2023 to August 2024, and so far there have been five seasons (and one interlude) of The Utopia.

The server also features non interactive lore. Director MichaelFantastic writes an ongoing story that has to do with the backstory behind different spawn buildings and seasons in the server. The idea is that he is telling the story of things that happened in the particular universe of each spawn. The overarching storyline has been going on since season three of KodiakMC, but the most relevant parts of the story have been happening in seasons two and four of The Utopia.
