!Mod Name

The Sixth Sense turns nearby danger into small, expressive HUD animations, helping you notice threats around you—even outside your field of view. The warnings stay compact, reflect nearby activity, and fade away when that activity is no longer detected.

Warden

A beating heart appears when a Warden is nearby. As it approaches, the heartbeat becomes faster and more intense, while a smoothly turning arrow points toward it.

The heart holds the center of the automatic warning layout, with other alerts arranging themselves beside it. Dark thorns fade in when the Warden targets you, press inward and shrink when it hits you, and develop blood-red tips as your health falls. A distance readout can be enabled in the settings.

Bow & crossbow

Nearby bow- and crossbow-equipped monsters and players trigger weapon warnings. The animations reflect observed drawing and charging progress, and a counter appears when more than one relevant entity is nearby.

Bow: Watch the weapon draw as a nearby skeleton prepares its shot.

Crossbow: Follow the charge and loaded state of a nearby crossbow. Charging animation timing also accounts for Quick Charge.

Explosions

Creepers, primed TNT and ignited TNT minecarts share an animated explosion warning. The icon follows fuse progress and builds toward the blast, giving approaching explosions a visible cue.

Ghast

A Ghast warning appears for nearby visible charging or firing activity, or nearby fireballs. Its animated head opens its mouth during the charge, reacts to the fireball release and closes afterward.

An optional distance readout helps you judge how close the detected threat is.

Shulker

Nearby Shulker bullets trigger a small, shell-less head with a spinning projectile circling around it. The head occasionally follows the orbit, then looks forward again.

When several bullets are nearby, a counter helps you keep track of them.

Raids

During an active raid, a separate locator shows the nearest detected raider's name, coordinates, direction and distance. Optional entity highlighting helps you find it, including when it is hidden from view.

The locator automatically sits below boss bars, or you can move it in the HUD editor.

Choose what you want to see

With Mod Menu and Cloth Config, you can toggle individual warnings, adjust positions and sizes, switch raid highlighting on or off, and choose whether to show Ghast and Warden distances.

The H-key editor works independently of these optional additions. Settings are also available in config/sixthsense.json.

Getting started

These features describe The Sixth Sense 1.1.1 for Minecraft Java 1.21.1 / Fabric. Features in other Minecraft or loader versions may differ.

  1. Install Fabric Loader 0.19.2 or newer and Fabric API for Minecraft 1.21.1.
  2. Place the matching The Sixth Sense JAR in your client's mods folder.
  3. Optionally install Mod Menu + Cloth Config for the settings screen.
  4. Enter a world and press H to make the HUD yours.

Alerts use nearby entities and activity available to your client. A detected weapon holder or projectile does not necessarily mean it is targeting you.
