[1.21.11] The Speedrunner Mod 1.12

Version 1.12 (Fabric 1.21.11): DRAGON'S AURA POTION:

  • Added a new status effect, called "Dragons Aura", which gives the player +5 hearts, deals x2 more damage, added armor points and toughness, and increased block interaction distance.

  • Any entity that has the Dragon's Aura effect takes 50% less damage from the ender dragon, and will also admit portal particles around themselves.

  • Players are immune to dragon breath attacks with this effect, and also immune to fall damage.

  • Players are also immune to ender pearl damage with this effect.

  • Players will not receive blindness on doom mode when throwing an ender pearl with this effect.

  • All players' armor will have a 45% chance to ignore all durability damage per hit with this effect applied.

  • Enderman do not get angry at players if they look at them if they have this effect.

  • To craft the Dragon's Aura potion, you will need water bottles and ender matter.

  • When brewed, the potion's duration is 4 minutes. You can extend it to 8 minutes with redstone.

  • You cannot increase this potion's amplifier.

  • Dragon's Aura potions can also be found in end city chests and from trading with Retired Speedrunners.

  • If the player dies with this effect, their death sound effect is changed to the ender dragon hurting.

  • If the player falls into the void with this effect, they will be levitated up extremely fast to have a chance at surviving the void. This only happens once, and the player can only do it again if they died and re-applied the effect.

  • You can also obtain the "Immortal" advancement by doing this.

  • Breaking doom blocks with this effect will not spawn the bad mobs.

  • Credit to MannyQUESO for creating the texture for the effect icon.

  • Yes, there is an advancement for obtaining this potion, called "Dragon's Aura."

  • This potion has been specifically designed for doom mode (it works on all modes), to make the end fight actually possible.

INVENTORY PRESERVER:

  • A new item, called the "Inventory Preserver", which keeps your inventory upon death!
  • It has 1 durability point, so 1 single use per item.
  • They can only be found in bastion chests, ancient city chests, and very rarely in stronghold chests.
  • You can combine it with ender matter to increase it's max durability all the way up to 3. It cannot be repaired, nor can you add unbreaking or mending to it.
  • Good for doom mode!

WITHERED ENCHANTMENT:

  • A new enchantment, called "Withered", which inflicts any entity you hit with the wither effect.

  • For each level, the wither's effect is longer. At level 4, you can inflict wither 2, and level 5 inflicts wither 3.

  • Using this enchantment on wither skeletons increases the chance of skulls dropping (minimum is 13% chance, can go all the way up to 65% with level 5).

  • Looting no longer works to increase chance of wither skeleton skulls, you must use the "Withered" enchantment to increase chance.

  • The withered enchantment can be found in nether fortress chests, and from the Retired Speedrunner.

  • With this, the wither sword and wither bones have been removed from the mod and replaced with this.

SPEEDRUNNERS WORKBENCH CHANGES:

  • You can now add a Golden Upgrade Smithing Template to the workbench to remove all durability damage. Doing this will result in double the cost.
  • You can now transfer enchantments directly to books.
  • The workbench is now crafted with 5 speedrunner planks, a speedrunner block, and 3 speedrunner ingots.
  • Renamed "Golden Speedrunner Upgrade Smithing Template" to "Golden Upgrade Smithing Template", as the name was way too long, and rendered off the screen.
  • You can now upgrade golden tools to golden speedrunner tools in the speedrunner's workbench.

DRAGON'S FIREBALL:

  • Yup, you guessed it. The dragon's fireball, as a throwable item.

  • When thrown, it does exactly what the ender dragon's fireball does. Except, it's effect last longer, and it creates an explosion upon impact.

  • To craft it, you will need 8 fireballs and a dragon's aura potion. You will receive 8 dragon's fireballs when crafting it.

  • Renamed Minecraft's "Fire Charge" to "Fireball".

EXPERIENCE FRAGMENT:

  • A new item, which can be obtained from smelting experience ores (you can get the actual experience ore blocks by mining it with silk touch).
  • With this item, you can craft Bottles of Enchanting.
  • To craft Bottles of Enchanting, you will need 1 experience fragment and 1 glass bottle. You will then receive 2 bottles of enchanting.

GOLDEN SHIELD:

  • Added the golden shield, with an extremely fast cooldown, but low durability.

NEW TEXTURES / TEXTURE CHANGES:

  • New animated texture for the InfiniPearl! (credit to MannyQUESO)
  • New textures for the Golden Speedrunner armor and tools.
  • Individual textures for fireproof boats (you can easily tell that they are fireproof).
  • New texture for the piglin awakener, blaze spotter, and raid eradicator (credit to MannyQUESO for these).
  • Fixed inconsistency with other textures, as well as removed the extremely strong blue from all speedrunner items.
    • This includes revamped textures for: Speedrunner Ingot, Raw Speedrunner, Raw Speedrunner Block, Speedrunner's Eye, Speedrunner Shield, Speedrunner's Totem, Speedrunner Boat, Speedrunner logs, speedrunner sapling, doors, signs, and trapdoors (this includes all DEAD variants as well)
  • Fixed knockback stick item model.

OTHER CHANGES:

  • Removed tutorial mode.

  • The InfiniPearl now glows when thrown.

  • InfiniPearls now do 1.5 hearts of damage to entities on entity collision.

  • Increased speed of InfiniPearl when in water.

  • You no longer need an ender thruster in order to craft an InfiniPearl.

  • You can now add unbreaking and mending to InfiniPearls.

  • Ender matter now has a 25% chance to drop from enderman, with looting increasing its chance, all the way up to 38% with looting 3.

  • Lowered the chance of ender matter generating from shipwreck chests.

  • Removed waiting time on certain items.

  • The Piglin Awakener now works on doom mode, but cannot teleport more than 3 piglin at a time.

  • The Blaze Spotter now works on doom mode.

  • Using the Raid Eradicator now makes all villagers in the radius glow for 3 minutes, and gives them regeneration 2 and resistance for 30 seconds.

  • The raid eradicator no longer requires a totem of undying to use, and doesn't damage the player upon use.

  • Raid eradicators now kill witches, and all evokers are teleported to the player upon use.

  • Removed Ender Thruster doom mode restriction.

  • Evokers now have a small chance of generating in the overworld on doom mode.

  • Golden Speedrunner Armor now keeps you 100% safe from piglin, meaning you can break gold blocks and open containers without ease!

  • Slightly tweaked Retired Speedrunner's trades.

  • Speedrunner paddles are now crafted with any speedrunner stick and 2 speedrunner nuggets (previously ingots).

  • All smeltable recipes now only take 2 seconds to cook (this includes food, ores, blocks, everything).

  • Blast furnace and smoker recipes take only 1 second to cook.

  • All potions now only take 5 seconds to brew.

  • Enchanted golden apples are now craftable (again), with a golden apple in the center and 8 gold blocks surrounding it.

  • Increased hardness of the thrusted block.

  • The warden now actually drops good loot when killed.

  • Buffed ancient city chests and trail chamber chests.

  • Ancient cities are now slightly more common.

  • Modified other loot tables (nothing major).

  • Normal totems of undying no longer work in the void. Only speedrunner totems can save you from the void now.

  • Using a totem no longer removes any currently applied positive effects (with both normal totems and speedrunner totems).

  • Totems of Undying are now craftable with an enchanted golden apple in the center and 8 gold blocks surrounding it.

  • Speedrunner totems can also trigger the "Postmortal" advancement, when used.

  • Speedrunner ingots and nuggets are now slightly more common from piglin bartering.

  • New sounds for Goliath!

  • Goliath now has more health (300 points -> 400).

  • Goliath now has a 15% chance to summon TNT around himself when taking damage (previously 10%).

  • Goliath will now always spawn TNT when damaged if his health is 1/3 of his max health.

  • Goliath now appears as angry when at 1/3 of health.

  • Speedrunner swords no longer do more damage to Goliath (or withers).

  • Added Goliath spawn egg.

  • When the ender dragon dies (no matter how it dies), it now grants the "Free the end" advancement to all nearby players.

  • Speedrunner armor now gives +1 armor toughness.

  • Golden speedrunner armor now gives +0.5 armor toughness.

  • Using a speedrunner's totem can now give the "Postmortal" advancement.

  • Changed speedrunner boots and dash functionalities. They now both have the "water movement efficiency" attribute modifier attached to them, and with this change:

  • Speedrunner boots and golden speedrunner boots give 20% extra speed, with +0.15 extra (multiplied) speed when in water.

  • The dash enchantment gives an extra 10% speed, with +0.05 extra (multiplied) speed when in water.

  • Lava effects remain the same.

  • You can now craft blaze rods with 2 blaze powder and a speedrunner stick.

  • Mining gilded blackstone now drops 3-7 gold ingots (unless mined with silk touch).

  • Thrusted blocks can now be obtained with silk touch.

  • The game's difficulty is now hardlocked on Hard if you are playing on doom mode. You can't change it.

  • The ender dragon can now detect a player from up to 64 blocks away on doom mode.

  • Renamed "Immortal" advancement to "I am... Immortal."

  • Renamed "Bulked" advancement to "Bulky".

  • Other advancement modifications.

TWEAKS, OPTIMIZATIONS, & BUG FIXES:

  • Tons, I mean TONS, of tweaks, optimizations, and bug fixes.

  • Removed the dead speedrunner stick. Pointless and annoying.

  • This means you can convert dead speedrunner wood to speedrunner wood by taking dead speedrunner planks and reverting to speedrunner sticks, and then using those sticks to craft the normal speedrunner planks.

  • Fire charges are no longer required in order to craft Eyes of Annul, Dragon's Pearls, and Raid Eradicators.

  • Ender perals are no longer required in order to craft Raid Eradicators and Dragon's Pearls.

  • There is no longer a 3-second wait when using the eye of annul.

  • The eye of annul no longer requires an ender eye and ender pearl to use.

  • The Dragon's sword now does 9 attack damage.

  • Raid Eradicators now stack to 16.

  • Lowered the cooldown of the Raid Eradicator to 3 minutes (previously 5).

  • Lowered the cooldown of the Dragon's Pearl to 20 seconds (previously 30 sec).

  • Speedrunner Eyes now stack to 64.

  • Moved speedrunner mod advancement parents around.

  • When breaking doom blocks, all mobs have an equal chance of spawning. You can also only get good items if you use speedrunner tools or have the Dragon's Aura effect. This goes the same for getting good items, they all have the same chance of spawning.

  • Breaking doom blocks in creative mode no longer spawns bad mobs.

  • Removed "Open config directory" button.

  • Renamed config files to "speedrunnermod.json" and "speedrunnermod_client.json".

  • Added option to configure fullbright brightness amount.

  • Normal totems of undying are now attempted to be used first before checking for speedrunners totems.

  • Fixed crash with timed-set items (items that execute something after a set amount of seconds).

  • Fixed critical bug with Raid Eradicator where the player glitches into death but can never get out.

  • Fixed bug with Ender Thruster, Blaze Spotter and Eye of Annul where they don't work sometimes due to chunk loading issues.

  • Fixed chest boat rendering issues.

  • Fixed bug where structures don't generate according to doom mode.

  • Fixed bug where certain particles don't render sometimes.

  • Fixed bug where:

    • Speedrunner shield does not have a faster cooldown than normal shields.
    • Cooldown enchantment does not work on any items at all.
  • Fixed bug where certain sword enchantments cannot be applied to axes.

  • Fixed bug where creepers are one-shots.

  • Fixed bug where the cost in an anvil is always set to the cost limit, regardless of whether or not the cost ever went over the limit.

  • Fixed bug where going over max enchantment costs does not work correctly.

  • Fixed bug with speedrunner's workbench where enchantments don't upgrade correctly (+ fixed all bugs with speedrunner's workbench).

  • Fixed duplicate recipes displaying in recipe book.

  • Fixed bug where patches of raw speedrunner blocks would almost never generate in the Speedrunner's Wasteland biome, due to the chance being incredibly low.

  • Fixed bug where Goliath infinitely spawns TNT when "in fire".

  • Fixed other bugs and other random inconveniences.

  • Improved compatibility with Simple Keybinds and QoQ.

Version 1.11.10 (Fabric 1.21.11):

  • Fixed bug where doom mode monsters do not spawn in the end (Doom mode).

  • Fixed bug where crimson spore particles are not visible in the end (Doom mode).

  • Increased intensity of crimson spore particles in the end (Doom mode).

  • Fixed incompatibility with new Quality of Queso version, this mod now uses QoQ's fog setting.

  • Fixed bug where clicking the "Miscellaneous..." category feature screen goes to page 16 instead of page 1.

[1.21.11] The Speedrunner Mod 1.11.9

Version 1.11.9:

  • Updated to Minecraft 1.21.11!

  • Renamed "Mob Spawning Rate" option to "Creature Spawning Rate", as it only affects passive animals, like pigs and cows, not hostile mobs.

  • The Speedrunner Mod biome no longer has "mood" sounds, and currently does not have any background music attached to it.

  • A few bug fixes and optimizations.
