SmartSort:
Inventory sorting done right. Shift+right-click an empty slot to sort, or use commands if you're in Creative mode.
How It Works:
Shift+Right-Click on any empty slot:
- In your hotbar? Sorts just the hotbar
- In your main inventory? Sorts just the main inventory
- In a chest or container? Sorts the whole thing
Commands for when clicking won't cut it:
/ss inv- Sort your inventory/ss hotbar- Sort your hotbar/ss reload- Reload config (needs admin permission)
Creative mode players need to use commands since Minecraft doesn't let plugins detect shift+clicks properly in the Creative inventory. Chests still work fine with clicking though.
Sorting Logic:
Items get grouped into categories (weapons, tools, armor, food, blocks, etc.) and then sorted alphabetically within each category. Similar items stack automatically.
Permissions:
Keep it simple with smartsort.use for full access, or get specific:
smartsort.inventory.sort - just their inventory
smartsort.containers.sort - all containers
smartsort.containers.chest - only chests
smartsort.containers.barrel - only barrels
smartsort.containers.shulkerbox
smartsort.containers.enderchest
smartsort.containers.hopper
smartsort.containers.dispenser
smartsort.containers.dropper
Works great for tiered ranks - give free players inventory sorting, members get chests, VIPs get everything.
The plugin checks smartsort.use first, so existing setups keep working.
