What is Sandboxes?

Sandboxes lets you copy your survival world into a creative duplicate for experimenting with builds, redstone, or layouts — then return to survival when you are done. Your original world is never touched.

• One-click sandbox — create a creative copy of any survival world instantly
• Return to survival — switch back to your original world from the pause menu or keybind
• Multiple sandboxes — manage several sandboxes per world with create, sync, rename, and delete
• Auto-sync — re-copy your survival world into an existing sandbox to pick up new changes
• Sandbox mode indicator — red "SANDBOX MODE" label on the pause menu so you always know where you are
• World list cleanup — sandbox worlds are hidden from the main world selection screen
• Pause menu integration — sandbox button in the pause menu for quick access
• Inventory button — optional sandbox button in the inventory screen

Note

Sandboxes is designed for singleplayer worlds. It copies the world at the file system level, so it only works with local saves.
