Rune Enchanting

Summary

Rune Enchanting replaces vanilla's enchanting table with a simpler, exploration-driven system: find Runes in the world and socket them into your gear using an Anvil.

The mod

Rune Enchanting creates a new system to empower your items:

• Find runes in chests or by breaking mob spawners

  !Find runes in chests

• Apply them to items with an Anvil

  !Apply them via Anvils

• Each material has its own number of sockets (slots), more for lower tier items (e.g. Wood has more sockets compared to Netherite)

  !Sockets

• You can extract runes as you wish with Grindstone

• Curses are a special type of rune that don't use up a slot and increase the max slots by 1. Curses are unknown and using items will let you learn them.

  !Curses

• Fully configurable: each rune can be disabled via data pack and changed via config options. Balance as you wish.

• 73 Runes + 23 curses as of 1.3.2.1
