Roleplayer's Dice
A roleplay server's dice roll, thrown where it can be seen: the chat line is held back, a die appears, you throw it by hand, and it lands on the number the server rolled.
Waiting to be thrown
The result is held out of the chat and a die stands in for it. Until somebody throws it, it turns, shivers and hops.
Critical success
The colour, the glow, the sound and the words are one moment, and they wait until the die has come to rest.
Critical failure
A one on a d20, and the verdict that goes with it.
Mid throw
A six sided die in the air, carrying pips rather than numerals the way an ordinary die does.
Somebody else's roll
Other people roll small, by the edge, and their dice throw themselves. Nothing is dimmed and nothing is in the way.
Settings
Every colour, timing, sound and shape is a setting, and the die goes on throwing itself behind the screen while they are changed.
