The bug where souls were left floating around has been fixed with the implementation of a new mechanic.

Those lost souls that were left drifting will now move toward the nearest dropped item from a mob to revive that mob. If instead a mob approaches the soul, it will merge with the mob’s body, granting it one extra heart of health.
