Villagers will slowly build walls around them
The walls are centered around bells and handles multiple bells. Wall building can be turned off by the modpack designer, server operator, or on an individual town level (by the player mining the block over the bell).

Coral regrows as well
By default code, salmon and squid can prompt the regrowth of coral near them.
