New features:

New config values added, such as inventory-reset, loot-table-lucky-threshold, and specific perk config values
/kit delay config value: /kit is automatically executed after a death
Per player kit preferences (you can change the slots of items)
Global combat events with 3 events
Events can be started/stopped manually, event loop can also be paused
Language file: most user-visible text can be changed, with some exceptions*
Right click kit in kit GUI for a preview and other options
BETA sidebar scoreboard: not working in 1.20.4 due to packet changes
Admin kit commands have been unified under /purekitpvp kit <create/delete/setkillitem/edit>

* Kill message cosmetic text cannot be changed

Fixes:

Custom items now more robust: they work with PDC instead of lore
Custom items no longer shift around in hotbar when used
Self-assist/kill with potions no longer possible
Perks now properly handle missing data; when new players join for example
Projectile trail works on fishing rod; this can also be disabled in config
Projectile particles can now be seen from further away
/suicide reworked; now shows up in death recap and no longer spews warnings in console
Killing yourself errors also fixed
Armor was embedded twice in kits.yml; no longer
Ranged combat HP message shows damage done
/suicide can no longer be used in other worlds
Self-pearl damage no longer throws errors in console
Reworked perks marksman and notoriety to have a dynamic chance value based off of current enchantment value
Firework damage from cosmetics is completely ignored
