Overview

Player Heads With Effects is a Minecraft plugin that drops player heads with unique potion effects when players are killed. The plugin provides an engaging gameplay experience where players can collect heads with special abilities.

• IMPROVED TIMER SYSTEM:
  • Each individual head has its own cooldown timer
  • Once a head's effect is used, that specific head goes on cooldown
  • Trying to rewear the same head during cooldown:
    • Shows "Wait for Xs" message in chat
    • Head stays in inventory (doesn't disappear)
    • Head is not equipped (prevented from being worn)
  • Different heads can be used immediately (no cross-head cooldown)
  • If cooldown is set to 0, no timer restrictions apply (unlimited use)
• PER-PLAYER HEAD LIMITS:
  • Configurable maximum heads per player for PVP and PVE
  • Automatic reset periods for head counts
  • Detailed player statistics tracking
• ADVANCED EFFECT MANAGEMENT:
  • Enhanced error handling and logging

Commands

• /headleft - Shows which potion effects are still available (for all players)
• /headreset - Resets the system so drops start again (OP only)
• /headreload - Reloads all configuration files (OP only)
• /headget - Get a head with a specific effect for testing (OP only)

Configuration

The plugin generates configuration files on first run:

heads.yml - Controls head drop settings:

• PVP Settings:

  • enabled: Enable/disable PVP head drops
  • drop-chance: Percentage chance for heads to drop (0-100)
  • per-player-head-limit: Maximum heads per player (-1 for unlimited)
  • limit-reset-period: Hours before limit resets (0 for no reset)
  • Customizable drop messages and head lore

• PVE Settings:

  • enabled: Enable/disable PVE head drops
  • drop-chance: Percentage chance for heads to drop (0-100)
  • per-player-head-limit: Maximum heads per player (-1 for unlimited)
  • limit-reset-period: Hours before limit resets (0 for no reset)
  • allowed-causes: List of death causes that drop heads
  • Customizable drop messages

effects.yml - Defines potion effects and timer settings:

• effect-duration: How long effects last (default 15 seconds)
• head-cooldown: Delay before same head can be used again (default 25 seconds, set to 0 for no cooldown)
• List of available potion effects with levels
