Placeable Maps

Without adding any new items, blocks, or entities, this mod adds the ability to place down maps directly. Without the need of an Item Frame first.

This mod was born out of me and some friends wanting to remove item frames in a personal modpack, but still wanting maps to be able to be placed down.

By only manipulating events and a mixin, this mod achieves that. Simply shift and right click on a surface to place a map down.

You can use glow ink sacks on a placed down map to make it glow, as if it were on a glow item frame.

You can lock a map by shift + using a Glass Pane (or any item in the "placeable_maps:map_locking_items" item tag).
