Visual book editor with drawing, image insertion, and text
Description
Paint adds an advanced book editor. This is accomplished using a new item — Creative Book.
The book editor displays a canvas on which you can:
- draw
- create text boxes
- change the colors of all elements on the canvas
- add images via links
Images are not stored on the server; only links to them are stored.
The client displays the image via the link and stores it in RAM. This prevents the server from becoming cluttered with images, but images cannot be added directly, not via links on the internet.
The book's interface is fully responsive and works on any screen size.
A book can have multiple pages, with the page count and transitions between them displayed.
If the book's contents exceed the NBT limit for a Minecraft item, a corresponding badge appears indicating that further editing is impossible.
The canvas background blocks depend on what planks the book was created from, this also works with mod planks.
The reference version is 1.20.1, version 1.21.1 is a port.
