This datapack adds custom knife-like weapons into the game using the Origins mod.

Knives

Knives are weak but fast weapons, and have some abilities that distinguish them from other weapons.

Parry

Knives have the ability to parry certain attacks and protectiles by timing a right-click within 3 game ticks (0.15 seconds) before being damaged, negating all damage, dealing 4 relatiation damage and pushing the attacker away. This ability has a cooldown of 2 seconds, but will be reset upon successfully performing a parry. This ability also damages the weapon if an attack connects.

Backstab

Knives deal 80% more damage when attacking from behind an enemy.

Stealth

Knives also deal 50% more damage when attacking an enemy not currently targeting you.

Currently, the datapack adds two custom knife weapons.

Shank

A weak makeshift knife. Deals 3 points of damage and has an attack speed of 3, with durability equivalent to a stone sword.
