Picking up a mined block that is about 4 meters away
As soon as an item spawns from the broken block (1 game tick later), it instantly gets added to your inventory. The picking up animation, as well as picking up plopping sound, are just decorations.

Options are described better in tooltips. Edit: a bit outdated now, this blacklist is now called "Item blacklist", and there's also a new "Block blacklist"
