Minecraft But Chests Are In Quantum Superposition

Overview

This datapack introduces quantum mechanics to the Minecraft loot system. Based on the concept of Schrödinger's Cat, chests in your world no longer contain fixed items. Instead, they exist in a state of "superposition" until a player observes them.

When you open a chest, the waveform collapses, and the universe decides your fate. You might find god-tier loot, or you might trigger a trap. Every chest is a risk.

The Quantum Outcomes

Every time you open a chest, one of four states is randomly selected:

Treasure State (40% Chance)

The ideal outcome. The chest collapses into a stable state containing valuable resources like Diamonds, Emeralds, Netherite Ingots, and Enchanted Golden Apples.

Mysterious State (30% Chance)

A volatile outcome containing rare and magical items. Expect to find Ender Pearls, Echo Shards, high-level Enchanted Books, and Nether Stars.

Empty State (15% Chance)

The "Observation Paradox." Upon opening the chest, reality determines that nothing was ever there to begin with. The chest is completely empty.

Trap State (15% Chance)

A critical failure in the quantum state. The chest manifests volatile explosives including TNT, Gunpowder, and Fire Charges. Be ready to run.

Installation Instructions

1. Download the .zip file.
2. Navigate to your Minecraft saves folder: .minecraft/saves/YourWorld/datapacks
3. Place the downloaded zip file into the datapacks folder.
4. Launch Minecraft and enter your world.
5. Type /reload in the chat to initialize the quantum physics engine.
