Mending Infinity Fix is a Minecraft plugin for version 1.21+ that allows bows to have both Mending and Infinity enchantments simultaneously.
Key Features
- Combine Mending and Infinity on bows directly in the anvil
- Works with both enchantment books and combining two bows
- Prevents grindstones from accidentally removing the conflicting enchantments
- Includes a test command to quickly obtain a pre-enchanted bow
- Works automatically with no configuration needed
Functionality
In vanilla Minecraft, Mending and Infinity are mutually exclusive enchantments; players are forced to choose between repairing their bow with XP or having infinite arrows.
Mending Infinity Fix removes this restriction by overriding anvil event handlers. Now, you can combine a Mending bow with an Infinity book (or vice versa) just like any other enchantment. The plugin bypasses the standard conflict checks, allowing players to create the ultimate bow without compromising on utility.
Installation
Mending Infinity Fix is a server-side plugin. Simply drop the JAR file in your plugins folder and restart your server. No client installation or configuration files are necessary.
Disclaimer
While this plugin removes the enchantment conflict, the standard vanilla "Too Expensive" anvil limit still applies based on an item's prior work penalty. If an anvil refuses a combination, ensure you are using fresh items or use the /givemendinginfinity command.
