This is an experimental version!
This alpha does NOT contain all of Perspective's features.
Config files and addons made for versions below 1.3 alpha 13 will not be compatible.
You won't be able to edit the config via the gui (unless you have McQoy, though we'll have our own gui again soon)

• Added Zoom Overlays
  • You can currently set between perspective_lens:none and perspective_lens:spyglass in the config file.
• Updated Zoom Transitions
  • Transition Speed is now in the transition instead of the zoom instance.
  • Added perspective_lens:instant transition type.
• Reimplemented HideHud for Hold Perspective and Zoom.
• Reimplemented UI Background
  • Here's the identifiers to set in the config (config screens are coming back soon, i promise!)
    • perspective_ui:vanilla
      • Doesn't modify rendering.
    • perspective_ui:gaussian
      • Replaces vanilla's box blur with a gaussian blur.
    • perspective_ui:legacy
      • Renders a gradient when in-game, and a dirt background when in menus (excluding the title screen) out of game.
    • perspective_ui:classic
      • Renders a gradient when in-game, and a dirt background when in menus (including the title screen) out of game.
    • perspective_ui:none
      • Removes background rendering from all screens.
  • The new system is a lot more customizable for addon mods now, taking inspiration from my new zoom implementation.

F.A.Q

• When will Perspective be updated for 1.21.10?
  • 1.21.5+ contains a lot of rendering changes. Luminance (our shader renderer) will be updated first. This may take some time. I am looking to split Perspective up in future to allow for specific features to be used separately, however this is a long-term goal.

• Updated Luminance to alpha.6+dirty.
  • This is a developer build of Luminance, you may experience bugs.
• Added Perspective Shader Packs
  • Shader Packs are a new resource pack feature that allows you to stack several Luminance shaders.
  • Perspective automatically adds Luminance shaders as shader packs.
  • Where Perspective used to use Luminance shaders, it will now use Shader Packs.
• Added Textured Entity Shader Packs.
  • You can specify a shader pack for spectating textured entities.
  • minecraft:sheep with the name jeb_ will render the minecraft:wobble shader if Super Secret Settings resource pack is enabled.
  • minecraft:allay will render perspective:golden_allay when named Golden, or perspective:blue_allay when unnamed.

  • 1.21.5 changes both shader and entity rendering. This makes the amount of time updating Perspective will take longer. We'll be updating Luminance (our shader renderer) first. If you're just after zoom and hold perspective, a viewpoint release will be released sometime in the next week or so.
