Mod Overview
This mod aims to add in a fun assortment of small features inspired by the White Pumpkins from Minecraft: Story Mode. It's a "mini mod" and as such aims for quality-over-quantity. I hope you enjoy these additions to the game :D
White Pumpkins
You all know our favorite pumpkin! This mod simply adds in a glow-up... or rather a glow-down.
To do this you need only enter the Nether and place either a Pumpkin or Carved Pumpkin, at which point it will automatically shrivel up into the white variant. Neat!
And of course, we can't forget our Jack 'O' Lantern
Shearing a White Pumpkin will not only turn it into a Carved White Pumpkin, it will also drop several White Pumpkin Seeds
Souls
Finally, in shearing a Carved White Pumpkin, you get an extra White Pumpkin Seed and also a Soul
Souls are somewhat commonplace in the underworld, but here we now see one in physical form. Unfortunately it's tainted from it's origins, so we need to BURN THE HELL OUT OF IT
Now we end up with a White Soul, a more useful ingredient which we will be using to create a couple of the next items.
White Pumpkin Pie
The first item to talk about is a staple of Pumpkin lore: the pie. Here the recipe slightly changes from our beloved treat, to create the White Pumpkin Pie
Consuming this tasty delight provides the player with 4 minutes of Invisibility II... and also 30 seconds of Nausea II. A Monkey's Paw of an item that is both useful and scuffed all at the same time :D
The White Pumpkin Pie even comes with an upgrade, made by cooking it over the Soul Campfire:
The Glowing White Pumpkin Pie has all the same effects as it's less-powerful sibling, but it comes with one major benefit: Soul Seek
Soul Seek
Soul Seek is a new status effect with a couple of fun abilities. Simply right-click on an entity and watch the magic happen (I won't spoil it for now, but let's just say it's en enlightening experience)
The Glowing White Pumpkin Pie gives Soul Seek II (no difference from Soul Seek I) for 4 minutes. I suggest testing it out in a place with open access to the sky above you.
Enhanced Flint & Steel
The final new item in the mini-mod is the Enhanced Flint & Steel, which is a neat upgrade to the traditional Flint & Steel that's inspired by Minecraft: Story Mode. It has infinite durability, uses soul fire instead of regular fire, and has a neat color scheme to boot! It even avoids hurting mobs, players, or yourself!
Extras
After reading through the mod, you might have spotted one loose end: The White Pumpkin Seeds! Don't worry, there's a solution for that as well. In addition, there's a little easter egg hidden in the mod. I'll simply leave these last two photos as a hint and say THANKS! for taking the time to read through and check out my mini-mod!
