LifeBase
An unofficial remake of Grian's Third Life series which can be modified or played standalone.
LifeBase is a customizable data pack inspired by Grian's Third Life series. It provides the core mechanics of a three-lives-based survival challenge, designed for both standalone minigame use and expansion into more complex systems.
Features
- Players start with 3 lives tracked by a scoreboard
- Life count decreases on death, with name color reflecting lives remaining:
- Green for 3 lives
- Yellow for 2
- Red for 1
- Gray for 0 (switches to spectator mode)
- Titles display lives remaining after death and when gaining a life
- Optional healing function allows operators to restore a life to a player
To start, simply have everybody join the world and run /function lifebase:start. This initializes the game and activates the life-tracking system.
Built for Expansion
LifeBase is ideal as both a standalone minigame and a base for creating custom variations of the three-lives concept. It’s easy to expand with new rules, triggers, or mechanics such as:
- Life trading or sharing
- Custom victory conditions
- Team-based scenarios
- Integration with world events or challenges
Compatibility
LifeBase uses only vanilla commands and scoreboard systems. It is fully compatible with other data packs and mods, as it does not override or interfere with existing mechanics.
LifeBase is not an official pack created or endorsed by Grian, simply a remake and framework for others to create their own variations on the genre.
