Список изменений
1.6.1+26.1.2 - Unofficial Fabric 26.1.2 Port
This update replaces the old Paw Patroller configuration interface with a new owner control panel.
Owners can now use the Pet Patroller on an owned, collared player to configure several restrictions:
-
Speech
- Allowed: chat works normally.
- Muffled: messages are blocked, but the owner is notified that their pet is trying to communicate.
- Silenced: messages are blocked without notifying the owner.
-
Commands
- Owners can prevent their pet from executing player-issued commands.
- This restriction is enforced on the server and also applies to commands sent through client-side mods.
-
Vision
- Owners can obscure their pet's vision using a continuously refreshed Blindness effect.
-
Movement
- Owners can prevent voluntary movement, including walking, sprinting and jumping.
- External movement such as gravity, knockback, teleportation and leash pulling is still allowed.
Pet Patroller controls
- Right-click an owned pet while standing to open the control panel.
- Sneak and right-click to continue toggling the existing forced-crawl mode.
The old configurable Paw item and block interaction menus have been removed. Paws continue to use their fixed interaction restrictions.
The previous explicit diet-control system has also been removed, as pets wearing Paws are already unable to hold and use food normally. Owner hand-feeding, dog bowls and other feeding mechanics remain available.
Visual models
The new vision and speech restrictions currently affect gameplay only. They do not yet render a blindfold, mask or other visible accessory on the affected player model.
I originally planned to add these visual elements, but player-model accessory rendering is currently outside what I can reliably implement and maintain. The functional systems are therefore being released without them rather than delaying the update.
Contributions are welcome if anyone is interested in implementing compatible visual rendering for these states, either directly in this project or through a separate companion mod.
Other changes
- Renamed Paw Patroller to Pet Patroller while retaining the existing internal item ID for world compatibility.
- Removed obsolete Paw configuration screens, networking and related unused code.
- Preserved the existing collar, leash, Paw, forced-crawl, feeding and ownership mechanics.
