A datapack that overhauls and expands the survival experience for slower, more rewarding progression with a renewed focus on mining. Dig through numerous rock layers, each one requiring a better pickaxe than the last, until you reach the Nether itself.

- Added dangerous Rift portals to underground dimensions (excluding Nether/Grimstone), which can appear in the darkness to unleash waves of monsters
- Rifts can open in the Overworld sky at night, serving as the only source of Overworld specter and phantom spawns
- Players can put themselves and a nearby mount into a boat by right-clicking the boat; any passengers already in the boat will be kicked out
- Netherite ingots, netherite scraps, ancient debris, dragon heads, and dragon eggs are now just as indestructible as netherite equipment (new items only; blocks can be updated by placing and breaking)
- Stripping logs yields 0-2 sticks
- Netherrack can now be used as furnace fuel, providing the same burn time as leaf litter
- Daytime/nighttime sleep is now driven entirely by timelines
- Sleep no longer grants regeneration
- The night of the new moon (and the day preceding it) cannot be skipped
- Nighttime regeneration checks player hunger level instead of light level, only works in the Overworld, and does not function during the night of the new moon
- The Nether now has biome dependent lighting
- The End now has its own short daylight cycle with lighting and fog effects
- Tweaked Overworld skylight/cloud colors for sunrise, sunset, and nighttime
- Tweaked environment attributes for Overworld biomes
- Deep dimension fog is now black

- Reworked the Nether Magma Barrens biome
- Creeper meat can now be fed to wolves or smelted into leather
- The Flame enchantment has been merged into a scary epic Fire Aspect, which now features 3 levels and has a chance to ignite opponents' blocks on fire; the effects are split between ranged and melee, and tridents can be enchanted via anvil to have the best of both worlds
- Ice Aspect enchantment works on ranged weapons: projectiles inflict opponents with slowness, place snow on the ground, and turn water to frosted ice; expanded the effect to more mobs
- The Punch enchantment has been merged into Knockback
- Venom enchantment works on ranged weapons
- Poison Cloud enchantment works on ranged weapons; it is now categorized as a "damage extender" instead of "health effect," so it's incompatible with Fire Aspect/Venom/etc.
- Radiance enchantment works on ranged weapons, and it's no longer incompatible with any other enchantments
- All direct damage enchantments - Smite, Bane of Arthropods, Bane of Illagers, Bane of the Sea, Bane of Swine, Slaughtering, & Deconstructing - can be applied to bows and crossbows as very powerful, specialized alternatives to Power
- Impaling can be applied to any melee or ranged weapon by anvil
- Spears can be enchanted with Riptide, which will behave as an aquatic version of Lunge
- Power can be applied to any melee weapon by anvil as a slightly weaker, but more widely compatible version of Sharpness; Power can be applied to a crossbow by enchanting table
- Sharpness can be applied to a bow or crossbow by anvil as a weaker version of Power
- Increased damage dealt by Bane of Illagers, Bane of Swine, and Deconstructing
- Deconstructing (golem bane) enchantment now affects copper golems, blazes, and creepers
- Vaulting enchantment is now only active when the player sprints, and increases exhaustion at an increased rate
- Fixed broken Exploding and Ghastly Wrath enchantments; these enchantments are now categorized as "damage extenders" and incompatible with Ice Aspect, Fire Aspect, etc.
- Shattering enchantment is now available for tridents and no longer has any incompatibilities; Shattering projectiles can now bash through Nether portals
- Looting, Decapitating, and Refreshment enchantments are all available for ranged weapons
- Piercing enchantment is now available for bows
- Infinity enchantment now works on all ammo types
- Thorns enchantment is available to all armor types
- Soul Speed no longer works on honey and slime
- Zombie Brute and Miner equipment are dependent on the stone layer; Brute spawning has an environment check to prevent suffocation
- Mud replaces most dirt and grass that touches water during generation
- Increase underground stone blob generation in mountainous biomes
- Added basalt to stony peaks, jagged peaks, and stony shore
- Snowy biomes can generate with underground ice columns
- All dyed equipment can have their dyes removed via cauldron
- Crops can grow on grass or dirt, but their yields are best on moist, tilled farmland
- Wheat can drop dry grass unless grown on moist, tilled farmland
- Reworked wild wheat feature
- Added wild potatoes, carrots, and beetroot to Overworld biomes
- Potato yields are a bit more complex: wild plants in frigid biomes have a reduced chance of toxicity, plants in temperate biomes have increased yield, and plants in humid or fungi-rich biomes have increased toxicity (there is some overlap between high yield and high toxicity biomes)
- The indestructible poisonous potato "trophy" item now has rare tier text, an enchantment glint, and is unstackable
- Grass, dry grass, and seagrass no longer drop random items like seeds or mob loot to increase focus on foraging
- Sniffers can dig up golden dandelions (non-craftable), and no longer dig up "common" crops
- Sniffers can dig up nether wart, crimson fungus, and warped fungus by digging in soul soil
- Nether fungi stems/hyphae, nylium, crying obsidian, and redstone ore now have emissive overlays
- Reduced ruined portal generation
- Nerfed Overworld ruined portal loot
- Made optimizations to layer teleportation functions for non-player entities
- Updated loot tables to use set_random_potion and set_random_dyes modifiers
- Consolidated a bunch of loot tables that were needlessly split by biome
- Tweaked Overworld monster spawning
- Fixed spears being unenchantable
- Rewrote panning predicates to fix issue with player standing on partial blocks (mud)
- Specters are immune to normal arrows (bug fix), but they're damaged by flaming and spectral arrows
- Specters can be harmed by items enchanted with fire aspect; copper torches and lanterns can directly damage specters as melee weapons
- Endermen no longer pick up end stone
- Mud brick witch hut campfire is now marked on initial generation with 15 minutes of fuel
- Deleted some data and scoreboard objectives (use "clear old data" in "refresh" dialog to wipe out useless scores)
- Removed random extraneous blocks from infiniburn Nether tag
- Disabled command block output game rule
- Fixed broken totem of regeneration
- Amethyst shards can duplicate allays again
- Set up some groundwork for villager implementation
- Removed mobs trampling crops mechanic
- Removed zombies harming livestock mechanic
- Removed burning mobs setting fires mechanic
