Iffex's Wither Additions

Iffex's Wither Additions is a data pack that improves on the vanilla wither fight. The pack adds several new abilities to the Wither that make it more challenging and interesting to fight. It also adds some new rewards to the wither fight that will make it more enticing to take on.

Phase One:

• Spawning the Wither is no different, however, the Wither now starts with 600HP (300 Hearts) instead of the vanilla 300HP (150 Hearts).

• The Wither's wither skulls will now apply slowness to nearby players for a short time.

• The Wither will now periodically slam the ground, indicated by particles appearing above the Wither's main head. The slam will deal damage to nearby mobs and players, and afflict players with mining fatigue, reducing their attack speed.

Phase Two:

• Upon reaching half health, the Wither will explode again and summon two wither skeleton minions into the fight.

• The Wither will continue to explode and summon wither skeletons every 20 seconds after it has reached half health.

• On top of the slam attack, the Wither gains a rapid fire ability. The Wither will prepare itself for a barrage, indicated by the surrounding particles, and fire three flaming wither skulls that violently explode and spread fire.

Defeat:

• Upon defeat, the Wither will leave behind an explosive Wither Bomb that will blast the area, so make sure you clear away. The bomb will leave behind a Nether Star and a massive crater.

• The Wither also has the chance to drop special enchanted books. Including Wither's Binding, Protection, Bane, and Haste. These are similar to the vanilla enchantments Unbreaking, Protection, Sharpness, and Efficiency, respectively. They can be added to any tool that normally accepts these enchantments and can stack with the matching ones.

Craftable Wither Bomb

• If you choose, you can craft your own wither bomb after defeating a Wither. It has the same explosive radius and fuse as the one dropped by the Wither. Be careful where you place it as it instantly primes itself.
