This datapack aims to make crafting and such more accessible for any world- new or old, and also to better utilize materials without being unbalanced. More recipes will likely be tweaked/added in the future, especially as the updates progress, so keep an eye out!

Other Crafting Recipe Changes

• Dark Prismarine no longer has a crafting pattern- it now uses ingredients instead:

Added 185 new recipes:

Crafting Additions

• Any block that can craft slabs can now be reconstructed using 2 slabs stacked on top of one another in a Crafting Table (some recipes, such as chiseled variants and pillars, have been changed to account for this).
• Any block that can craft pressure plates can now be reconstructed by assembling a 2x2 of those plates in the Crafting Table.
• Any block that can craft buttons can now be reconstructed by assembling a 3x3 of those buttons in the Crafting Table (like with ingots crafting into blocks).
• The following blocks can now be deconstructed back into individual materials:
  • Amethyst Block -> 4x Amethyst Shards
  • Blue Ice -> 9x Packed Ice
  • Heavy-Weighted Pressure Plate -> 1x Iron Ingot
  • Honeycomb Block -> 4x Honeycombs
  • Light-Weighted Pressure Plate -> 1x Gold Ingot
  • Packed Ice -> 9x Ice
  • Quartz Block -> 4x Quartz

Stonecutter Additions

• All plank types are now compatible with the stonecutter.

Furnace Additions

• Rotten Flesh can now be smelted or cooked into Raw Beef.
• Raw Blocks can now be smelted/blasted.

Recipe Grouping Changes

• Plank recipes of differing wood types are now separate, but recipes of the same wood type are now grouped.
• Iron Door is now grouped together with all the Wooden Doors.
  • Same with the Iron Trapdoor and Wooden Trapdoors.
• All blocks that have reconstruction recipes are group together by which items/blocks they can be reconstructed from.
• All Copper craftables of the same block have been grouped together, regardless of state.
  • Waxed variants are still separate from the regular variants, however.

Logic behind some changes:

• Armor Trim templates shouldn't cost so many diamonds to duplicate- they're cosmetic and should be more accessible.
  • The Netherite Upgrade template feels like an unecessary step in the process of getting to netherite, so I increased the crafting yield. Its recipe was changed as well to match the style of the trim templates, but also because not including netherite or gold in the process at all felt very weird.
• Button Recipes now yield 9 to mimic the ingot-block relationship.
  • The same logic was used with the pressure plate changes.
• Wooden Door Recipes yielding 3 was annoying because I always had an extra so I made it 4.
• Iron & Copper Door Recipes decreased to yield 2 because it takes 9 ingots to make a block, and 3 feels a bit overpowered, so I made it 2 to both balance out the ingot to block ratio and also to use more copper since there's so much of it.
• Some recipes involving bricks have been changed to match the Purpur Block recipe, as it uses only 4 popped chorus fruits to yield 4 Purpur Blocks.
• Amethyst, Honeycombs, Quartz and the Packed Ices just feel like they should be decomposable.
• Dark Prismarine's crafting recipe felt too expensive and arbitrary.
• Making the redstone rails yield less is just silly to me. The standard rail yields 16 for essentially the same cost- they should all be the same.
