Fruit Phone is a new Waila-y mod, with four kinds of items: the Pad, shown here, the Phone, the Glass, and the Contacts.
They come in a lot of colors.
are easy to craft (just an iron ingot and any fruit from any mod, most notably Pam's HarvestCraft)
and support all manner of information, from a Capability-based probe data API written by Falkreon.
Since it's a capability, other mods can add support for it trivially. Correlated is my mod, so it's the first to get support for ProbeDataProviderAPI, and it displays all manner of useful information.
And you can put it in your off-hand, of course.
If the pad is too big for you, you can craft it into a Phone for free, which is half the size. (The recipe keeps the color.)
Takes up a lot less space!
And finally, you can craft a Pad or Phone into a Glass. (It also keeps the color.)
It doesn't use your helmet slot, and looks very stylish.
But of course, its main feature isn't being stylish, it's showing you information!
And since it doesn't use your helmet slot, you can wear it with any helmet!
Now you get all the same useful information, but on your HUD!
But wait, there's more! If you craft yourself a Power Drill, you can remove the glasses, and...
...configure them extensively with a nice GUI!
Make the HUD smaller! It snaps to the closest whole pixel size on any GUI scale!
Or maybe make it bigger!
Change the size of the clamp region, and allow it to use even more of your precious screen real estate!
I say we take the overlay, and MOVE IT SOMEWHERE ELSE
