Additions:

• EMF 3.3+ Support
• Added built in resource pack for Experience Orb trails
• Added EMF Variable "twirl_angle" which allows EMF animations to access current twirl angle
• Added EMF Variable "twirl_state" which allows EMF animations to access current twirl state/progress. 0-1 is easing in, 1-2 is in between, and 2-3 is easing out.
• Added "Simplify Lighting" option, makes trail rendering much more optimized, but makes it so trails don't update lighting once created. (Enabled by default)
• Added option to fix vanilla bug related to crouching near a ceiling while elytra flying (Enabled by default)
• Added option to visually disable crouching entirely while flying (Disabled by default)
• Added gamerule "elytratrails:enable_trails", if disabled will cause other player trails to not render for clients with the mod (useful for minigames)
• Added gamerule "elytratrails:enable_twirls", if disabled will prevent twirl packets from being sent
• Added ability to bind keys for a second twirl of a different type than the first one
• Added ability to change twirl axis
• Added actionbar message when trails are toggled

Changes:

• Rewrote twirl system entirely
• snapping trail point now adds a fake point instead of snapping the last one, looking significantly smoother and preventing weirdness at lower sample rates
• Dynamic wingtip curve tweaked a bit

ElytraTrailAPI:

• new API where mods can define certain things about trails
• Mods can register new EaseTypes for twirls
• Mods can set trails to specific entities or entity types
• Mods can check if an entity is currently emitting a trail
• Mods can check if an entity is currently twirling and at which angle
