Crumbling Dungeons
Generates small underground combat rooms (with loot!!) that slowly decay and collapse after players enter.
Crumbling Dungeons
Adds procedurally generated underground combat chambers that spawn naturally throughout the world at various depths. When a player enters one of these structures, a decay timer begins and the dungeon starts to physically crumble block by block from the ceiling downward.
Gameplay
Players must defeat spawned hostile mobs and loot chests before the structure completely collapses and buries everything inside. Each dungeon is a small single-room design with varying layouts, creating quick encounters rather than massive explorations.
The decay mechanic introduces time-pressure gameplay without requiring complex systems. Players must decide whether to commit to clearing a dungeon or retreat before being trapped.
Technical
- Uses lightweight block replacement mechanics
- Simple mob spawning tied to structure detection
- Configurable decay rate
- Structures regenerate in new locations over time to maintain exploration incentives
Fits naturally into vanilla Minecraft's cave exploration while adding strategic decision-making elements.
