With the new Crops growth detector, you can easily build automatic farms without the need of worrying about "when will my crop be grown?".

Blocks scheme of work

This block works similarly to a Comparator, but instead detects the crop current age and outputs a redstone signal, dependent of the same. Usually, the signal outputted is the double of the current age (this may vary on modded crops). !image

Compatibility

The crops growth detector is compatible with any modded crop, always as the same is cataloged as a "crop" by the modder itself. Plants that can grow but aren't crops can't be detected.
