Create: VS Engineering
a lightweight addon focused on adding missing utility pieces for building moving structures with more freedom and precision.
The goal is simple: make motion setups feel less restrictive and more customizable, without turning your setup into a scripting project.
What this addon is for
Create already has great movement blocks, but some use cases need tighter control than the default tools were designed for.
This addon gives you that extra control in a simple way, so managing things like turrets and articulated mechanisms is much easier.
What it does
- Adds a customizable Ship Bearing for controlled rotation
- Lets you set a reference base angle (a custom “zero point”)
- Lets you set independent left and right rotation limits
- Helps prevent unwanted over-rotation and collision issues in your builds
- Keeps control practical and lightweight for real gameplay use
Why it matters
With fixed limits and a configurable reference point, you can define exactly how far a structure can move and from where it should be measured.
That means fewer broken alignments, fewer accidental collisions, and more reliable behavior for moving builds.

Step 1
You will need rotation so it can be activated, but for now I haven't configured any stress increase from the Create mod’s stress units when you are using the ship bearing.

Afterwards you can click the block to access its settings and adjust it to your liking. The more abbreviated options will have a short tooltip.

Don't forget to configure the channel. To adjust the linked controller, use SHIFT + Right Click and set the same frequency you used on the ship bearing.

Step 3
After configuring everything correctly, you can start playing around with the possibilities.

This addon is designed to stay simple, light, and practical while expanding what Create + VS setups can do.
