This datapack adds npc's to your Minecraft world. Simply place a renamed armorstand in your world and you summon a fake player. You can use any Minecraft username to make them appear. They will have their skin and name.
Their movement will be limited to a 10-block radius around their spawnpoint. Please note that at its core the npc uses a villager. This means you npc will be scared of mobs and pathfind to a nearby bed at night but he will not use workstations.
By right clicking them you can change their behaviour.
- Follow me: As long as this mode is active the npc will be teleported to you if he is too far away. This makes it easy to move them around. (they can also be moved by boat or minecart)
- Stay around here: Sets their home at their current location.
- Load this chunk: Does what it says. It forceloads the chunk your npc is currently in.
The interaction will always be with the npc that is nearest to you and not always the one you clicked on. Keep that in mind if you have a lot of npc's at one place.
As they are invincible there is a "Despawn" option which deletes the npc. Players in gamemode creative will be able to kill them with a bow or other projectiles, however simply punching them will not work.
Bugfixes: If for any reason the mannequin or the villager who is controlling the movement dies, there will be red particles indicating a problem. To reset all of the npc's, their applied tags and forceloaded chunks you can just type "/trigger bug" to reset everything.
