Chunk Challenge is a Fabric mod that turns Minecraft into a progressive survival challenge — one chunk at a time.
Every time you enter a new chunk, the world transforms around you: a randomized mob appears, a personal border locks you in, and all blocks in the chunk are replaced with one randomly selected block type. Clear the challenge, earn reward chests, and move on.
Inspired by popular challenge formats, built for chaotic runs and long-term progression.
How It Works
When the challenge is active, entering a new chunk triggers:
- Per-player WorldBorder that locks you inside the current chunk
- Random mob spawn inside the chunk
- Chunk block replacement: every block in the chunk becomes the same random block
- Optional loot rewards for clearing chunks (with milestones)
Progress is tracked per player and saved per world.
